While I’ll enjoy taking a moment to watch the race that stops the nation on Tuesday this week, I’m looking forward to a big week touring the electorate and visiting a number of community groups.

ANZAC Memorial Centenary ProjectAs we approach Remembrance Day, it’s a good time for me to announce that in recognition of the ANZAC Centenary the NSW Government has embarked on a large scale enhancement of theStateANZAC (War) Memorial in Hyde Park, Sydney.

As part of that project the NSW Government is providing the public with the opportunity to contribute to the “Constellation of Honour and Memory” by purchasing a star in the constellation in honour of our veterans and also to raise funds for future exhibits and educational programs

If you would like to be part of this historically significant project contact NSW Veteran’s Affairs on (02) 9513 2080 or visit梧桐夜网anzacmemorial.nsw.gov419论坛/star

Everyone wants Clean, Fresh Air!You don’t have to wish for clean fresh air or visit high mountain ranges for clean fresh air.

The Government is currently seeking input from the community on its proposed 10-year plan aimed at improving air quality across thestate.

I receive a number of letters and emails across the electorate with complaints about smoke and air pollution.

So I am pleased that the Clean Air for NSW consultation paper sets out the NSW Government’s priority areas for air quality improvement and outlines how industry, government, community groups and residents can work together to benefit the environment.

Some priority actions identified in the Clean Air for NSW paper include, a review of air quality monitoring networks to improve understanding of pollution issues, improved forecasting and advice during hazard reduction burning and hosting a Clean Air Summit within six months to allow stakeholders the opportunity to provide direct feedback on Clean Air for NSW.

Public submissions are open until Friday, January 20, 2017.

The NSW EPA will manage the consultation process and you can read the consultation paper and have your say at the EPA website:梧桐夜网engage.environment.nsw.gov419论坛/EPAconsult/

Opening of Mid-West Foods Distribution CentreContinuing on from the theme of jobs and investment in the region, I want to congratulate the owners and the staff of Mid-West Foods Distribution Centre in Dubbo which I had the pleasure of opening last week.

A great local success story and one that highlights the fact that business confidence and economic development in the electorate is strong.
